The Hole in the Sky was one of Mary’s very favourite places.
Its varied collection made her feel as though she was stepping into another world, and she very rarely left empty handed. Her home was full of trinkets she’d found here.

In the far corner she noticed a new display for a drink brand she wasn’t familiar with. To her disappointment it was closed for the day. She made a note to come back for it another day.
She admired a shelf display, picking out two bracelets hanging from it. Each had a little strawberry bead: one red, one purple.

In the clothes section, she decided to treat herself to a bag that resembled a heart shaped bag. It was red & pink, her two favourite colours.

She turned, prepared to leave with her purchases, when she was stopped in her tracks by the dress in the window; it was a dainty pink, and covered in butterflies.
Mary looked down at her own dress, stained with mud and sand, and then back at the one on the mannequin. It felt like it was destined to be hers.
She bought it.
