Lost in the Woods at Night

In the dark of the woods, Mary stumbled upon a large stone arch. It was then she realised she must have taken a wrong turn somewhere, as she’d never seen this before, and it definitely wasn’t on the path home.
It was so dark that she really didn’t want to have to try and find her way back, and the light from the arch was welcoming. She decided to try her luck by continuing up the path.

At long last, the path led down a slope to the illuminated shape of a church.

It appeared abandoned, and though cold & eerie, Mary decided it would make a perfect shelter for the night.
Mary traced her hands over the old paint on the brickwork, trying to make out the old murals.

Looking up, she found there was a large hole in the roof allowing the moon to peer in, like it was looking into its own dollhouse. Its light would keep her company through the rest of the night.

Slowly, she drifted off to sleep.
