After the discovery, and subsequent ‘misplacing’, of Day-see #0 (aka Sampson) The Organisation was desperate to obtain another. However, these efforts produced increasingly deranged results as they attempted to force reality.

Experiment #0 – The True Day-see

Experiment #7 – The Day-Hear
‘They can hear too much. Far too much. And there’s nothing they can do about any of it. ONLY LISTEN.’
Experiment #36 – The Day-Speak
‘This creature is able to speak in several human languages. Unfortunately, it seems unable to know when to stop. It also believes itself to be the most knowledgeable on every topic, lacking the awareness to be proven wrong.’
Mrs Nettleberry Finds Out
It didn’t take long for Mrs Nettleberry to sense something was going on.
She did not approve of people messing with her children, especially not dragging them out of their home realities to experiment on them.
The next time they tried, the scientists were shocked when out of their synthesised overlap came a much larger, angrier creature with one, strangely hypnotic eye that almost entirely distracted from two large fangs that dripped purple venom...
All in all, Mrs Nettleberry remembered that day fondly: the Day-see-adjacents got to return home to their hordes and she had a full belly.
And the scientists were never heard from again but that’s probably not related.
